Approach to Sustainability Finance

Sustainability finance is a financial approach that aims to realize a sustainable society solving environmental issues such as climate change, and social issues including human rights and poverty.
SHR aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society and maximize unitholder's medium to long term value through asset management that takes ESG into consideration. Believing that addressing these issues through sustainability finance will lead to further promotion of ESG-conscious asset management and strengthening of our financial base through expansion of funding source, SHR is promoting fundraising through sustainability finance by setting target (KPI).

KPI: Achieve 50% or more of sustainability finance in interest-bearing liabilities by 2030

(Note 1)SHR formulated the Green Bond Framework in 2018, and the third through ninth Investment Corporation Bonds have been issued in accordance with the Green Bond Framework. In addition, SHR has obtained a third-party opinion from a third-party opinion from Sustainalytics, an ESG rating agency, for the eligibility of its Green Bond Framework.
